Suwanee, GA, May 15, 2018   Sharpe Contractors (https://sharpegc.com/) has been chosen, by Opelika, Alabama based Anand, Inc., to build their new Tru by Hilton Hotel in the Northlake area of Tucker, Georgia. The project will be the first new hotel constructed, in the Northlake area, in more than 20 years.

Designed by Alpharetta-based Newport Design Group, the 44,487 square foot, 4-story property will feature 96 guest rooms in the latest prototype for the exciting new Hilton flag. Designed to service a growing millennial audience looking for convenient and comfortable accommodations, the hotel will feature cutting edge technology and innovative design.

A groundbreaking celebration was held at the site, located at 3274 Northlake Parkway in Tucker, Georgia, where Dr. Arvind Patel, President of Arnand, was joined by his family and representatives of Sharpe Contractors and Newport Design.  Also attending the festivities were State Senator Steve Henson, State Representative Michele Henson, James Tsismanakis, Executive Director of the DeKalb Convention and Visitors Bureau and Matthew Lee, Executive Director of the Tucker Northlake Community Improvement District.

This will be Sharpe’s second Tru Hotel project in the metro Atlanta area as they are currently building a 4-story, 97-key Tru in Lawrenceville.

“We are extremely pleased to have this opportunity to work with Dr. Arvind Patel and his team at Anand, Inc.,” said Sharpe Vice President of Operations Brian Mulligan.  “I’ve known Tony Patel for years and Tony, Lisa Steffie and the rest of the team, at Newport Design, have really designed a great building.”

Construction is scheduled to begin May 21st with completion slated for Spring of 2019.
