Project Administrator

Sharpe Contractors, LLC., a growing commercial General Contractor in the Atlanta suburb of Suwanee, GA, is seeking a Project Administrator who is highly organized, driven and task oriented with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.  Individual must possess excellent communication and technical skills, as well as a strong attention to detail to assist in the administrative management of our growing project inventory.

The candidate should have knowledge of and previous experience in the commercial construction sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of project specific accounts payable responsibilities including entering approved pay applications into system and distributing checks for payment.
  • Coordination with subcontractors to obtain W-9, certificate of insurance and lien waiver forms.
  • Facilitation of client pay applications
  • Initial job set up including entry of approved job budget into Viewpoint TEAM and subsequent updates of project budget throughout the course of the project.
  • Coordination of all contracts, subcontracts and change orders
  • Assisting with the production and distribution of project close out and warranty documents
  • Assisting Project Managers and Superintendents with travel arrangements, identification of potential subcontractors, local licensing and permitting requirements and other support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with commercial construction project administration providing accounting and administrative support to project managers and superintendents (REQUIRED).
  • Experience dealing with commercial construction subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and governmental agencies including municipal, county and state licensing and permitting agencies.
  • Well versed with common software programs including Microsoft Office Suite. Ideal candidate will have familiarity with Viewpoint/TEAM Project Management and BuildingConnected Bid Management software.
  • High energy individual with strong work ethic, impeccable character who is a team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact and work well with a wide variety of different personality types

Traveling Project Site Superintendent

Sharpe Contractors, a regional, commercial general contractor, based in the Atlanta suburb of Suwanee, Georgia, seeks an experienced commercial construction site Superintendent with ground-up hotel and retail experience.

The Superintendent will manage on-site coordination for all phases of commercial construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding safely, on schedule and within budget. Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Sharpe Project Manager to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in to ensure timely completion.
  • Perform quality control duties and responsibilities to ensure the work being performed meets Sharpe standards.
  • Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
  • Ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work.
  • Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
  • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards and take immediate corrective action. Communicate with Project Manager so notices can be issued for non-compliance to subcontractors regarding work or scheduling.
  • Conflicts or revisions to the plan shall be communicated with the project team (i.e. superiors, architect, engineer, consultant, owner) for mutual resolution, prior to execution of work that deviates from the approved plans.
  • Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite via Procore.
  • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.
  • Preside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.
  • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.
  • Track the inventory of supplies and materials to guard against loss and to ensure that vital materials are ordered and delivered to meet schedule.
  • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
  • Opening the jobsite at beginning of the day and securing the jobsite at the end of the day.

Primary Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of verifiable commercial construction superintendent experience.
  • Experience with ground-up hotel and retail construction.
  • Computer experience with Procore, PlanGrid, Microsoft office (Excel, word, project & Outlook) is also preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • 30-hour OSHA training preferred.
  • Knowledge or certification of scaffolding, miscellaneous lifts and power tools.
  • Able to travel as required.
